The bonds between brothers, the bonds between teammates, the bonds between families are hard to break, and through times of need, encouragement and care ,true compassion is always there. Ortiz's extraordinary talent and accomplishments led him into his future. Not only is he a big brother at home, but a big brother, a captain and a leader in the game on the field.

What I've learned along the way

There are many times in our lives when we have put sports ahead of what's really important to us; things that make life truly worth living, such as friends, family, etc. We've all been guilty of it, including myself. Take a journey with me to the realities of what we face.

Will our children have the same chance

I grew up cheering my favorite athletes and teams. More than that, I had moments of happiness that I can remember about certain players and sports. I had the opportunity to enjoy those moments with family and I wonder if children of the future will still have these feelings.
