Proving the Experts Wrong

As we approach the halfway point of the college football season, I have begun to reflect on a quote from a popular ESPN Analyst Lee Corso.  The words went sort of like this, “Steve Spurrier will never win an SEC Championship at the University of South Carolina.  The SEC cannot be won at the University of South Carolina.” Well, it looks like someone may be about to eat their words. Celebrating life in sports

As I recall it was a hot summer afternoon and I was getting ready to leave the nephrologist's office when I decided to ask my kidney doctor for a handicapped parking pass. Now, you see, I received a kidney transplant just six months earlier and wanted to take the easy way out when it cam to exercising. The words that came from my doctor's mouth have stuck with me ever since as she said, "Dennis, we gave you this transplant to make you normal, not disabled." Since that time, I have decided that transplant recipients have a unique place in sports themselves.
