They are calm off the field and animals on the field. The New England Patriots are a team for the ages and will prove so on Super Sunday.

The Patriots are headed towards a dynasty.
This years Super Bowl is a match up that features two teams that very well could have played each other in the big game three of the past four years.

It is a game that features two quarterbacks that take pressure as good as anyone in the league today.

The New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles will go toe-to-toe for this year?s big prize.

It will be a game won by ball control.

The keys to the game will be to keep the opposing offense off the field, preventing the big play, and the Patriots happen to be the NFL?s best at this particular task.

The acquisition of Corey Dillon last off season will come in handy for New England on Super Bowl Sunday. If the Patriots can establish the run early and eat up eight to nine minutes on each drive, they will dominate the game and send Donovan McNabb home a loser in his first trip to the Super Bowl.

The key for the Patriots is to keep Philadelphia from executing that big play, especially if Terrell Owens does in deed return to the Eagles lineup.

Thus far in the playoffs, Bill Belichick has drawn up immaculate game plans to stop two teams everyone thought were capable of stopping New England just shy of a dynasty.

Against Indianapolis, Belichick and the Patriots defense made Peyton Manning look confused. Manning was uncomfortable all game and had a tough time adjusting to both the cold weather and Belichick schemes. It was a game that, in my mind, would have been dominated by the Patriots even if it had been played in Indianapolis under the dome. The game plan was that good.

Last Sunday in Pittsburgh, New England simply outplayed the Steelers. The Patriots defense held Jerome Bettis to 64 yards rushing and came up with big play after big play offensively against the NFL?s number one ranked defense.

So what makes you think Belichick won?t have another brilliant plan to stop McNabb and the Eagles short of a championship? In fact, Belichick has two weeks to prepare for the opposition this time around.

This Patriots team is one for the ages. Maybe one of the best ever. After all, they only have four Pro Bowlers on a team headed to their third Super Bowl in four seasons.

A statistic like that makes you think of all the Pro Bowlers the 1990's Dallas Cowboys or the 1980's 49ers had.

The Patriots are a team. They don?t have arrogance. They just play as a ball club. Every player on the team sees action over the course of a game. No player watches an entire game from the sidelines.

New England has something special going on right now and very few people have yet to realize it. It seems as though everyone wants to bet against them. Everyone wants to believe there is a team out there who can beat them, but no one has when it truly counts.

Carolina came close in the Super Bowl last year... but they didn?t.

The Patriots are unique in the way that no team has ever been. How do you explain holding one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history to three points with third fourth and fifth string defensive backs?

The only answer I can come up with is good coaching. The way Belichick and his brilliant staff of coaches utilize backups is unbelievable. A wide receiver has no business coming in as a defensive back and shutting down a tremendous receiver like Brandon Stokley. It just shouldn?t happen. But Troy Brown did just that..

The Patriots should finally get the respect they deserve in the two weeks heading into Super Sunday. Expect Terrell Owens to play and, in essence, run his mouth off in front of the media. That, however, will only upset the Patriots, something the Eagles don?t need considering, on paper, they have no chance.

Expect to see the Patriots sit back and let the festivities happen. Behind the scenes, they will be preparing to win their third Super Bowl in four seasons.

Tom Brady will be laid back as usual, but he will know exactly what Philadelphia?s weaknesses are heading into the game.

Belichick will have the Patriots ready to roll. The New England defense should make McNabb look like he doesn?t belong on the same field.

In the end, McNabb has no reason to worry. The Patriots dynasty will end sometime. The Eagles, however, will continue to be in the thick of things as long as McNabb is under center.

It?s nothing personal. The Patriots are just that dominant.
