The St. Louis Rams have played some of the worst football I have ever seen in my life over the course of the past two seasons. A combined 5-24 record dating back to 2007 and a coaching change that has yet to do anything. They still lose, and they still lose badly. How much more losing will the town of St. Louis take before it completely disowns this bunch of misfits?

Who is to blame in St. Louis?

The St. Louis Rams (2-11) have played some of the worst football I have ever seen in my life over the past two seasons. With a combined record of 5-24 dating back to the beginning of last season, the "Lambs" have changed coaches and are still losing – badly! So, how much more losing will this town take before it completely disowns this bunch of misfits?

Mark Bulger, Stephen Jackson and Jim Hasslet were with the Rams in 2007, a season in which they finished a pathetic 3-13, with wins coming against Atlanta, New Orleans and San Francisco. They finished with the ninth worst offense in the league, averaging 16.4 points per game and 263 yards per game. Yet, for some reason, no changes were made.

Hasslet, the defensive coordinator last season, had no business keeping his job after last year's disaster of a season. His defense gave up 27.4 ppg, and 341.1 ypg... and people wonder why the Rams kept losing. Giving up that many points and yards is not going to help you win football games.

So after the 2007 fiasco, what do the brilliant "powers-that-be" in St. Louis decide to do? Make the defensive coordinator who led a defense that couldn't stop a fly the team's newest head coach.

Not saying that anyone else in their right mind would want to take over a team that had gone 3-17 in its' last 20 games, but they couldn't find anyone else?

It was obvious that Hasslet couldn't make a productive defense out of what he had, so what made everyone think he could make the rest of the team successful, when he couldn't even do is original job?

Since Hasslet was named head coach before week five, the Rams have won two games. But, what have they done since then?  Lost seven straight, and none of them were even close. The former "Greatest Show on Turf" has been averaging 13 points a game. That's right, 13 points per game!

You thought that was bad? How about a defense that coughs up 30.3 points a game? How on earth do you expect to win games if you're giving up points nearly every time your opponent has the ball, and you're lucky to make three or four field goals per game? It's not going to happen, plain and simple.

Someone please explain to me how these three individuals still have jobs. No, Bulger, Jackson and Hasslet are not the only ones to blame. The whole organization is in shambles, and needs to be completely restructured form the top executive levels downward. The draft selections the past few years have been horrible.

In addition, giving Jackson the outrageous amount of money he demanded while missing over a month of training camp, just to come in and score four touchdowns through 13 games? Give me a break.

I don't care if the team loses, but at least put forth the effort fans deserve and expect to see.
