His teammates, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, get all the sports headlines. However, but if it wasn't for the man in the net, Marc Andre Fleury, who knows where the skaters from the "Steel City" might be now?

Fleury has helped lead the Penguins to the Stanley Cup finals.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are one series away from winning their first Stanley Cup since 1992. They're just waiting to see who their opponent will be, as the Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings series hasn't ended yet.

When hockey people "in the know" talk about the Penguins, they always mention their two young stars, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Talk about no respect, even one of hockey's toughest players, Georges Laraque gets mentioned more than Marc Andre Fleury, goaltender for the Penguins.

It's said that a hockey team is only as good as the goalie that's in front of them. The 23 year old Fleury is one of the best in the league.

He's confident in net, and this confidence in himself seems to have trickled down to his teammates on the ice. Pittsburgh is the team most hockey experts have picked to win the Stanley Cup this June, and Fleury is a big reason why.

Early in the 2007-2008 hockey season, Fleury was on the injury list and almost lost his starting job to Penguins backup goalie, Ty Conklin. Today, one step away from winning it all.

He's not only a candidate for the MVP of the playoffs, but at the end of the season, it might not only be the Penguins fighting to keep him with the team, but someone else in the NHL might want him, also. Some team that desperately needs some help.

If the Penguins do win their first Stanley Cup since 1992, Marc Andre Fleury won't be the forgotten Penguin anymore.
