The NHL season is over and once again, it's time for my annual "Thank You" awards. Read on to see who won this year.

And the "Thank You" awards go to...

The 2007 NHL season is over and congratulations go to the Ducks of Anaheim for winning the Stanley Cup.

In addition to that, it's that time of year again. It's the time when I announce my NHL "Thank You" awards.

In no particular order, here goes:

1. Buffalo Sabres: Thanks to the team and the fans for giving the city of Buffalo, New York something to be proud of.

2. Teemu Selanne, Ducks of Anaheim: For finally getting your name on the Stanley Cup. If this is the year you finally hang up the skates for good, thank you for leaving the sport of hockey the same way you entered the league-with a lot of grace and class.

3.Scott Mellanby, Atlanta Thrashers: Enjoy your retirement and keep on working to help children like your son, who is Autistic.

4.Brian Leetch, Boston Bruins: You might have ended your hockey career as a member of the rival Boston Bruins, but to many hockey fans, you will always be a member of that 1994 New York Rangers team that won the Stanley Cup. Here's hoping you enter the Hockey Hall of Fame very soon. You deserve it.

5. Mario Lemieux, Pittsburgh Penguins: For doing your best and succeeding in keeping the Penguins in the "Steel City" where they belong.

6.And, finally, thank you once again to those NHL media directors who allowed me to invade their locker rooms to do my interviews. Thank you all and see you in September.
