It's the return of the long dormant Mullin' It Over, by one of the longest running eSports authors around. Here is Tim Van Prooyen returning in grand style, with thoughts as only he can put them. So come on in and "mull it over" for a a while.

It's the Thanksgiving Edition of the new "Mullin' It Over!"
Welcome to the new and improved eSports! In honor of the bigger, better eSports, I have chosen to resurrect the dormant "Mullin? It Over." As usual, I won?t be making promises as to how long the reanimation will go on, but for now, there is no end in sight! So, to all the fans who are still around and to those who are waiting to be discovered, here is the Thanksgiving 2004 edition of "Mullin? It Over."

A long week of sports for the State of Michigan ended yesterday with a dramatic Piston?s win over the Heat.

Oh yeah, I was supposed to be at that game.

To think, I was actually rooting for Notre Dame, and to add insult to injury, the Golden Domers actually put up a fight for almost a half.

USC should not play for a National Title this year.

I?m glad Ron Artest is out of the NBA for this year? can we somehow make it life?

Peyton Manning is beyond incredible this year? RIP Marino?s records.

Drinking should be halted at ALL ballgames before they are two-thirds over.

For my Auburn friends, here is a genuine, heart felt "War Eagle!"

Is this whole Ricky Williams thing making you a bit dizzy? Heck? do we even care anymore?

Part of me misses the NHL?but then again, part of me doesn?t. What bothers me is knowing that I?ll likely never see Steve Yzerman lace them up again.

If you haven?t read Mitch Albom?s "The Five People You Meet In Heaven,"? do so now. It?s a fantastic read, and the movie is on ABC next Sunday night.

Bowl I?m looking forward to seeing, Michigan and Cal in the Rose Bowl? even though U of M lost to Ohio State, that should be one of the most competitive games of the bowl season.

Wisconsin vs. Georgia might end up a 3-0 decision in OT.

It is still refreshing to think about the BoSox winning the World Series, and beating the Yankees en route.

The Detroit Tigers are on the fast track to respectability.

Ben Roethlisberger is making football even more fun than it was. Reminds me of when Marino was a rookie, bandwagon city.

Hard to believe we are almost to 2005? seems like Y2K was just yesterday. Prince must be feeling a bit long in the tooth about now.

Be sure to give thanks for your friends this time of year ? your true friends ? they are hard to come by, and not to be taken for granted.

I?m on cloud 9? Bon Jovi?s long awaited amazing boxed set came out a week ago? 38 never before released songs is just the icing on the cake? yup? I?m still lost in the ?80s.

Something I?ve learned this year. When things are looking bad, take a minute to start counting all the things you?re thankful for? before long, your troubles don?t seem quite as big anymore.

Christmas Day in the NBA is looking better than it did when we found out Shaq and Kobe were matching up for the first time since Shaq left. Now that is being overshadowed by the Pistons-Pacers rematch. Santa might have to go heavy on the coal this year!

Speaking of Santa? I still believe, always have, always will. You can laugh, but I?ll be deep down a bunch of you do to.

The thing about the Pistons-Pacers brawl that hasn?t gotten enough air time is the amazing feat of Tayshaun Prince. What did he do that was so outstanding and showed how big a man he is? He stayed on the doggone bench. That took more control than all the other guys had out there combined. And yes, my two young sons have been told that numerous times in the past weeks. Thank you Tayshaun.

The AFC is going to be fun to watch in the playoffs this year and whatever team makes it out will put up a good fight against Philadelphia in the Super Bowl.

The BCS is a mess and should be done away with. Now where have we heard that before?

Oh yeah, in case you hadn?t noticed, they?re still not playing hockey.

I firmly believe the NHL, as my generation has known it, will never be again.

I voted for Bush, because I like him and the job he?s done? just to put my two cents in.

Biggest movie I?m waiting for at the moment? "Batman 5."

Fantasy football makes one notice the extreme number of "studs" that have gone down to injury this year? and makes you cuss a lot, or at least want to!

If you haven?t read a book recently, mix one in between shows.

And in closing, speaking of shows, "24" Day 4 is just around the corner ? in the meantime, thank goodness for "Lost!"

Well folks, that is it for now. It is great to be back, and if you?re happy to see Mullin? It Over again, let me know at timvp@bellsouth.net. Till next time, Happy Holidays! .
