Keith Hayes

Keith Hayes got his love for writing in the 6th grade where he began writing sci-fi stories for classmates and friends, while continuing to write over the years as a personal hobby.

In 1991 after purchasing WebTV, he caught the Internet bug and began writing on various message boards and newsgroups under the pseudonym Mista Sinista. His posts became popular as he covered movie reviews, the New England Patriots, WCW and WWE (formerly WWF) wrestling. Just do a Google search for Mista Sinista or Sinista1 under groups, and you'll discover enough material to read for months.

As his debating talents developed online, he became vocal in his local newspaper, the Enterprise. He began submitting Letters to the Editor, and most of his pieces were printed on a regular basis. He also had similar success with his letters to the early years of Patriots Football Weekly. After generating some buzz and catching the eyes of readers, Keith was contacted to write for wrestling web site Wrestlenutz.com. He was then later contacted to write for a New England Patriots fan website PatriotsFootball.com, which is now known as PatsFans.com.

When covering the Pats, Keith kept his Mista Sinista attitude and reviewed the games with his "tell it like it is" style. The Patriots experience soon took off, and allowed him to meet various players, travel to a Pro Bowl in Hawaii, a Super Bowl in New Orleans, several away games in the Meadowlands, and some great games in Foxboro, where he has been a season ticket holder since 1990.

Today, he covers the New England Patriots for eSports and as a 12th Man correspondent for PatsFans.com. You can read his political and local debates on his hometown site Brockton Forums. But for a real treat, you can also see the twisted side on his moniker web site Sinista1.com, where he has some great spoofs like "Barbie and Ken's True Hollywood Story," and "Celebrity Survivor."

Most recently, Keith has become a co-host on two hit radio shows at WXBR 1460 AM in Brockton (formerly WBET). On Fridays, Keith can be heard during the "On the Mark PI Show," with his host Private Investigator Mark Chauppetta, who has his own reality television show in negotiations, and a role in the upcoming horror film Frightworld where he plays an FBI Agent hunting a serial killer who has killed his wife.

Keith is now following in his host’s footsteps after scoring a part in Walt Disney's upcoming movie "The Game Plan," starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. In the movie, Keith plays a football player on QB Joe Kingman’s (Dwayne's character) Boston Rebels rival team the New York Dukes. Also joining Keith on the show is defense attorney Ken Diesenhof, and Brockton Police Officer Frank "Czman".

On Saturdays, Keith can be heard during "Krashing Into the Bigfield/The Lock Up" from noon to 4 p.m. talking sports with Enterprise writer Kevin Tocci, and aspiring actor Tom Mariano, cousin to "Boston Rob" of "Survivor/Amazing Race" fame. The show also features guests Matt Futrell, Peter Czymbor, Dennis Harris, and is produced by former Indie wrestler Mike Pavia. The South Shore Sports Show is growing, as the first two hours cover sports (professional and local), while the second two hours cover the best talk in professional and Indie wrestling.

This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday and eSports Sinista1 shares his thoughts, while touching base on a boatload of topics.

Colts... Bears... Sunday!

Wow... Super Bowl weekend is upon us, and so much has happened this week that I don't even know how to begin to talk about this weekend's game. So, I think what I'll do is talk about all that has happened up until now, and to do that, I'll just break this article up into several.

Bears D Up to Take Down Saints 39-14: In my last article I had picked the Saints thinking they would go into Chicago with a bus load of New Orleans mojo, and take home the NFC championship while doing something that no dome team has ever done, and that would be to win a conference championship game in the elements. The Saints had their chance, but dropped passes and allowing the ball to be stripped several times in what was the biggest game of the playoffs doesn't deserve to win, but what is even more disturbing is the fact that the New Orleans Saints did something the Katrina victims did, and that was quit. They quit against a team that brought what was probably the best defensive performance of the entire playoffs with three forced fumbles recovered and an interception.

Pats Gas Out in Indy 34-38: For two weeks the Colts had not impressed me yet they are moving on to the Big Game, and one of the reasons why is because the Patriots couldn't finish the job. With a 21-6 lead going into the half most fans in New England began booking tickets to Miami., but in two quarters the Colts turned the tables by taking advantage of a gassed defense with a 14 play seven minute drive, several crucial penalties, dropped passes, and  a key mismatch involving a player who's baptism of fire was an AFC Championship game who got highly exploited by the Colts across the middle. The Pats will now be remembered as allowing the Colts the biggest comeback in conference championship history, but at least it's not without plenty of reason and something to build on for next year, and that would be linebackers. The Patriots LB corps is very talented, but they are aging and need some help from the fountain of youth. The only way to address this youth would be through the upcoming draft which some say is a weak crop of players this season. With Pioli at the helm of scouting I'm sure they have prospects already panned out, and will be waiting to check them out at the combine.

Red Sox Pitcher Johnathan Papelbon is Ready for 2007: Last Friday night Brockton Rox rep Matthew Futrell gave us the chance to cover the Brockton Rox's Hot Stove Banquet Event held at the Shaw's Center. This was an event that featured speakers: Boson Globe Columnist Bob Ryan, who discussed the future of the Patriots with us; former Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Trupiano, who was released after the Red Sox, signed a new broadcasting agreement, and whose sone plays for the Rox, so maybe there's a good chance he could be calling the games this year till something else develops; and Red Sox star closer Johnathan Papelbon, who surprised me at his size. This guy has some huge shoulders, and he is ready to play regardless of where he is going to be listed in the rotation. He was a great guy, and spent a lot of time signing autographs and posing for photos. The event was a great time and raised close to $9,000 for the "Save our Sports" program.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Brings Boston to It's Knees: That right... To it's knees, and it wasn't a bit funny. It seems as promotion for their show on the Cartoon Network and the upcoming movie Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theatres someone at Turner Network thought it would be a great idea to have a company hire young kids and have them place these electronic devices in various areas of high visibility. These devices looked like a flat Lite Brights with wires on the back, but for those who were fans of the show were able to see that the boards featured a Ignignokt of the Mooninites a character of the show. Even my own boys pointed it out when they saw the picture from the news. This may sound funny, but just imagine an entire city going into complete lockdown at 8am in the morning as thousands are heading to work. Highway traffic halted, bridges blocked, subways shutdown, and waterways closed and patrolled by Coast Guard with guns on deck. So here we are $750,000 in the hole, two employees in jail and Turner Broadcasting trying to find out how to pay the city of Boston back while dancing behind closed doors because their movie now has nationwide promotion, and I'm sure their ratings on Adult Swim this week will reach an all time high as those who never heard of the show will check it out. If Turner truly feels bad, then maybe they should have the red carpet premiere here in Boston when the movie opens in March.

QB McNabb to Detroit Rumors: Just when you thought your QB starting job was safe in Philadelphia someone decides to start a nasty rumor that the Eagles maybe looking to trade QB Donovan McNabb to the Detroit Lions for their first round number two pick in the upcoming draft. Why would the Eagles organization even entertain this rumor, and now that it's out there to discuss would it be worthwhile? I say no, and IMO it would be the worst trade for a draft pick in NFL history. McNabb isn't the problem in Philly, it's just crap luck with injuries, why would you send a stud QB to a team that is like the gum on your shoe when walking on a hot day. Is there something going on that we don't know? Is McNabb's injury worse than was reported and feels it's better to trade him away know before the thoughts about his injury steps to the forefront?  All parties are denying the rumors so I guess we will have to wait until April when the new NFL Commish takes the podium for the 2007 draft.

Sinista1 to Face Dennis Harris in "RockEm SockEm" Championship: Over the past few weekends, the cast of characters over at WXBR 1460 AM in Brockton have been running a "RockEm SockEm" tournament, which the guys at Krashing Into the Bigfield have been facing bout after bout, elimination after elimination. Now it comes down to two in their first Championship, which plans to become an annual event that will finish the Saturday before the Super Bowl. This weekend will pit me (Sinista1) against Dennis "the Menace" Harris for the Rock Em Sock Em title. If you want to see the tourney bracket check out RockEm SockEm Tournament,, if you want to see the fight live then logon to Krashing Into the Bigfield on Saturday at 12 p.m. (EST) to hear and view the live stream through TalkRadioX and Yahoo.

IMO EA's Madden is Done!: Three years ago, EA signed an exclusive agreement with the NFL and cleaned out our wallets by putting out a sub par game year after year. Well it's time to rejoice because Visual Concepts has announced the 2K series will return to the gridiron this summer with All Pro Football 2K8, a game that IMO will feature retired NFL players since the NFL doesn't own the rights to these guys. That means you are going to have a next gen game this summer that will feature guys like RB's Bo Jackson, Walter Payton and Barry Sanders, QB's  Joe Montana, John Elway, Terry Bradshaw, LB's Lawrence Taylor, Andre Tippett (shameless Pats plug), Dick Butkus, and several other well know players and Hall of Famers. I'm sure EA is feeling the heat after the last NFL 2K5 had dethroned them before signing the exclusive agreement.

Afro American Coaches in the NFL: I am a Afro American, and I believe that the NFL is a business where you should hire the best qualified person to coach the team. However, just because the hiring practices have been placed under scrutiny over the years, and the fact that there are going to be two Afro American coaches in the Super Bowl, hopefully doesn't mean you are hiring minority coaches as the next "in" thing. When Bill Cowler stepped down he was replaced by Vikings defensive co-coordinator Mike Tomlin. This guy had only been in Minnesota for one season, and before that he was a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs staff will he qualify as a head coach? Most recently former Bears LB Mike Singletary was touted as possibly being named the successor to Bill Parcells in Dallas this would be big . I just hope these owners are making the best possible decision for the job and not buckling to closed door politics.

Now it's time for me to get into the discussion of this weekend's big game...

This weekend in Miami, the Indianapolis Colts will be taking on the Chicago Bears in the biggest platform of sports championships, and there are a lot of questions to be answered. QB Peyton Manning finally got one of the monkeys off his back when the Colts defeated the Pats two weeks ago, but has yet to get rid of the "big game" monkey from his back. This could be his weekend, and, hopefully, it is, because the Colts have serious problems if they don't bring home a championship, and that is a ballooning cap issue that their QB eats a major portion of.

The Bears are the "blue collar" team of the match-up and as much as almost all of New England wants to see the Bears win,  I don't think it's going to be that easy for them. In order for the Bears to win this game, they have to bring the same defense they brought against the Saints, and not let Manning get into a rhythm. T

he problem is that, as I said before, QB Rex Grossman is very inconsistent, and he is always one game away from a horrible performance. This is where Manning severely outweighs the advantage and this could be the big difference in this game.

However, good defense wins games, and that is the one thing that is consistent when it comes to the Bears this season. If there was anyone I would like to see get a ring this year, it would be LB Brian Urlacher. This is a guy that oozes defense, he is the poster child for defense, and for Bears fans he is this generations' Mike Singletary.

So for my pick this weekend... I'd have to go with the Bears and their defense by 7 in an upset.
