The upcoming O.J. Simpson book and television special got the attention of eSports David Singleton. And it's making him wonder about Mr. Simpson's character.

Simpson demonstrates a lack of character.

When one gets upset, or angry, it becomes difficult to avoid using hyperbole when tackling the subject matter. But, I will do my best to avoid hyperbole in this column.

Let me start by making this statement: O.J. Simpson must have no conscience.

Whoops. There I go using hyperbole.

On the other hand, maybe I’m not too far off the mark with that sentence.

Otherwise, how does one go about explaining the book that O.J. wrote, and the ensuing television spectacle/train wreck called, "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened."

Oh, and the accompanying book called, "If I Did It" will be released the day after the second part of the television show airs at the end of the month.

Fox, the network airing this "special," said in a statement, "O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes. In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."

It’s good to see that O.J. has lived up to his promise to find the real killers. Oh, wait. He hasn’t done that.

Well, surely he has settled up with the Goldman family, swiftly paying the money that he owes them from the 1997 wrongful death suit.

Um, he hasn’t done that either.

Apparently, O.J.'s been too busy playing golf and working on this book.

Of course, this tome, for which Mr. Simpson is rumored to have been paid $3.5 million for, is out just in time for the holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah, everyone.

How could anyone with a conscience knowingly write a book that details how you would have killed that person -- especially when you were the one on trial for that murder?

To profit from the vicious murder of the mother of your children -- who you had to have loved at one time, right? -- is completely unconscionable as far as I'm concerned.

I know, I know. If it doesn't fit, you must acquit. But, I would like to believe that if Johnnie Cochran was alive, he wouldn’t have allowed this to happen.

I've been on both sides of the fence about O.J. When the trial first happened over a decade ago, I wanted to believe he was innocent. Then I thought he was guilty. Then, after learning about crime scene investigation and the blundering of the LAPD, I thought there was a chance that he was actually innocent.

Now? I think he's guilty as sin. And a cold hearted person at that.

To quote Dennis Miller, "You're a punk O.J. You’re a bad guy."

I agree 100 percent.
